Use Self Talk to Get What You Want

Inner game and self talk are things that most of us know about, but have never really gotten a controlling grasp on. When two or more people meet there is a meeting of existences. This is more than chemicals coming in contact. Awareness and lives are meeting. Your inner game is you from the inside out.

Self talk can be described as just that talk of the self. This does not necessarily mean talking about yourself. A particular individual’s self talk may not be about them at all. It is more specifically talk for the self. Both of these can be important when interacting with others and specifically the other sex. Effective awareness and control of these can be essential in communicating what you want to the world.

Take a deeper look…

Inner game is something that nearly everyone has. It really is just the way that you view the world. It often includes what you look for and what you are comfortable with. These things also work to determine our own level of comfort and influence the comfort of those around us. There are some things you can do to create a more solid inner game that can translate to greater comfort for yourself and those around.

By setting distinct rules about the things that define who you are you can work on solidifying your inner game. If honesty is important to you, set rules for yourself, about being honest. Make them as strict or as lenient as you are comfortable with, but clearly define them. Next consider extending those rules to the individuals that are closest to you. If it is important to you expect it from others.

When you establish rules others know what you want and what to expect if you do not get it. The self respect that is involved in expecting what you deem to be quality treatment is an attractive quality as well. In these ways your inner game can help make you more attractive to be with and more comfortable to be around.

Talk to the man in the mirror

Talk is one of the most distinct ways to communicate. Body language can be fun, but let’s face it: sometimes there is confusion. Words can help to eliminate confusion, and that can be good. It is a reality that the way we talk communicates much about us. The many aspects of speaking that accompany word choice communicate to those around us also.

There are a number of things to keep in mind when you talk. These include word choice, but are not limited to that. Body language is also important and does much to shape the interaction of individuals. Your tone is also important as well. It can work to create an emotional value to the words that you say. Even simple volume can do much to shape your talk.

That may seem like a lot to keep in mind. There is a single concept that can result in immense improvement of all these though. Be comfortable. It really is that simple. When you approach an individual or group, sit where you are comfortable. It will impact your posture, the way you talk and the amount of attention that you give those around you.

These two concepts and their effective use can help you be the attractive you that people are comfortable being with. Be you, your inner game and your self talk: you are you.
