Here’s something new, a list of movies that I think are worth putting on your entertainment shelf. All I ask is this: don’t just watch for the entertainment quality. I want you to think about the messages they are conveying. Analyze not only the messages behind the frames, but also the characterization of the actors and actresses. There are always cool guys in cool movies. Be the man.

The Matrix (First movie only)
It’s my opinion that the latter two movies in the Matrix Trilogy ruined the whole thing, but I still stand by my conviction that the first of the movies is a work of art.
Existential themes. Religious tones. Mind over matter… seeing the “matrix,” that is, seeing what is invisible, but is still there…
