Approaches to Cocky Comedy – Part 1

If you’ve been paying any attention to this site at all, you ought to know by now that cocky comedy is one of the most effective tools you can use to pick up women.  And if you don’t–well, bonehead, go back and read up on it.  And pay attention this time!

Cocky comedy is a subtle art, one to which you could devote a lifetime of study, and still not understand its many intricacies.  Here are a few specific tactics you can take with cocky comedy.

Be a smart ass!

Sarcasm is an integral part of cocky comedy.  Having a snappy comeback ready is a great way to generate interest; the right acerbic remark, delivered at the right time, will come across as both witty and challenging.  Which equals attraction.  Some examples:

Her:  “I’m an old-fashioned girl.”

You:  “So it’s strictly lights-out, then?”

or:

You:  “What’s your friend look like?”

Her:  “Well, she’s athletic, she drives a BMW, she has a Master’s in business administration…”

You:  “That bad, huh?”

This follows the basic cocky comedy formula:  sarcastic plus arrogant.  In addition to being funny, it reinforces your social standing relative to hers; you’re basically demonstrating that you’re in a position to judge, which helps you maintain control of the situation.  Conversation dynamics like this are something of an advanced topic, one that’s covered in more depth in our Members’ Section; for now, just remember that skillfully executed cocky comedy not only makes them laugh, it helps you establish dominance.

The tricky part here is finding the right balance between cocky and funny.  You don’t want to be too jokey, but you don’t want to be downright rude, either.  If you get this right, the girl will be shocked, amused, and impressed all at the same time–even if she doesn’t entirely get the joke.

Be playful!

There are plenty of other ways to be funny and challenging, too.  Don’t be afraid to mess with a girl’s head a little.  Try giving nonsense answers to her questions, just to see how she responds, or doing silly, irritating things like tapping her shoulder as you walk by, so she turns around and finds no one there.

Again, the key with this is finding the right balance.  If you go overboard with it, you end up looking like an annoying pest; on the other hand, if you don’t put your heart into it, it won’t work.  Be confident, but moderate; use this approach wisely, and like an itch at the small of her back, she won’t be able to stop thinking about you.
