Why Focusing Your Energy is Crucial

Many people think that inner game means confidence. And, to a certain extent that’s true. But any true PUA knows there’re more to it than confidence. There’s more to a successful close than knowing the rules and executing them well. The real secret is, it’s about how you focus your energy.
When you’re out on the prowl and your confidence is high, you have a reasonable expectation of scoring. You’re on the lookout for a worthy target, and you’ve got everything you need to know right in that noggin of yours.
This means your energy is running high. Your blood’s pumping. You’re in a heightened state of awareness. And when you spot a HB, your adrenaline gives you an extra kick that says, “Yes. That one. Go for it.” And we’re a go.
It’s good to have a high level of energy. The standard rule is, you want to walk into a place or a set with just a little bit more energy than what’s there. Otherwise, they’ll think you’re going to drag them down.
A true player knows how to focus all this energy into the task at hand, so to speak. He becomes his very own laser-targeted weapon of mass destruction. But not everyone is at that level. In fact, few of us are. Only the top percent of PUAs has what it takes to see it through and seal the deal.
Harness That Energy – And Make It Work For You
So, how do you get into that top percentile? Well wouldn’t you know it – I happen to know the single best thing you can do to harness your energy. You’re going to reject out of hand. But I’m telling you to give it some thought – after all, it’s something you do alone, so no one has to know about it but you.
It starts with m and ends in -ation, but it has nothing to do with Mary. It’s… meditation.
Now, I’m not going to go all scented candles and whale music on you. The great thing about meditation is that you can do it in whatever way works best for you. All you need is about 15-20 minutes and some peace and quiet. Hell, even five minutes in your parked car can do the trick.
Not to get too philosophical here, but we live in an age where we are bombarded with stuff. We’re able to process an incredible amount of information at once. Put it like this – have you ever eaten dinner, watched TV, checked out a YouTube video, read a text from a girl and joked with your roommate – all at the same time? That’s what I’m talking about.
From the time you wake up until your head hits the pillow, your energy is on overdrive and it’s scattered in a million directions. How are you supposed to concentrate on the HB before you when you’re got a song in your head, you’re worried about tomorrow’s workload and you’re trying to remember if there’s any food in the fridge when you get home?
You have to clear your head of all the noise. So, find a place where you can sit or lie down comfortably, that’s as quiet as possible. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. If you’re in one of those moods where you’re too tense to close your eyes, keep them open and try to soft-focus them. Check in with your body to see if you’re holding any tension anywhere, and breathe it out.
That should take a full one to two minutes. Then after you feel like your body and your body and mind are operating together, just keep breathing deeply. Don’t try to kick everything out of your head – just watch those thoughts go by, like watching cars on a highway from above.
Keep doing that until you feel a kind of mental “click” – it’s a hard feeling to explain, but you’ll know it when you feel it. It’s like you just closed a book you’ve finished reading. When that happens, get up slowly, do a couple stretches, shake it off and you’ll be focused for the rest of the night.
Sounds too good to be true? Don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it. Harnessing your energy makes your inner game shine, your other game be spot on, and will have the ladies wondering just what it is that’s so damn attractive about you.
