Cocky comedy’s usefulness as a tool for picking up women cannot be understated. Field tests have proven time and again that chicks eat it up. Part of its greatness is its versatility; you can adapt cocky comedy routines in a variety of ways to suit the circumstances, and even use it to reinforce other pick up methods, like being mysterious or establishing dominance.
We’ve already seen a few examples of specific cocky comedy applications. Now let’s look at a few more.
Redirecting negative reactions
Keeping the balance between sarcastic and funny can be tricky. Some chicks might react negatively to your cocky comedy; maybe you misgauged them and pushed a joke too far, or maybe they were just touchy to begin with. Either way, there’s a good chance you can smooth things over with more cocky comedy.
If a girl gets offended at your teasing, try asking, “Do you need a hug?” Or taking a psychoanalytical approach and saying, “Do you want to talk about those feelings?” By using a comeback like one of these, you’re ridiculing her for getting angry in the first place, but softening the blow by being facetious; in doing so, you reaffirm that you didn’t intend any harm, but keeping up the challenging attitude that women can’t resist, which is what makes cocky comedy so effective in the first place. She won’t be able to help but crack a smile.
Maintaining mystery
If you’ve taken a gander at some of the videos in our Members’ Section, you’ll remember that creating a suave, mysterious persona will go a long way toward helping you pick up women. Put shortly, an aura of mystery makes you interesting; the less women know about you, the more they want to find out. Cocky comedy can be useful here, too.
When girls ask you questions about yourself, try defusing them with a cocky funny response. If they want to know how old you are, try responding with “Too old to answer that question.” If they want to know what you do for a living, tell them you’re an astronaut, or a lion tamer, or something else completely off-the-wall. If you don’t tell them what they want to know, they’ll only want to know more.
Being the top dog
Another important element of improving your game is learning to establish, and keep, control of the situation. Chimp-like as it might sound to all you feminists out there, it’s true; human beings establish dominance in all social settings, and all your pick up moves can only be effective when you are the dominant one in a relationship with a girl.
You maintain dominance by not giving in to a girl’s demands, not giving excuses for things she doesn’t like, never offering syrupy-sweet compliments, and so on. Here again, cocky comedy can help you out. If she wants to know where you were last night, say, “With your Mom.” Or if she wants to know why you didn’t call, try flat-out saying, “I didn’t want to.” Anybody trying to get to the top of the social hierarchy risks being perceived as a jerk; by using cocky comedy to evade chicks’ attempts to make you justify your behavior, you not only hold onto your hard-won alpha male position, you avoid making a negative impression.
