You’re Good Enough, You’re Smart Enough, and Gosh Darn It, People Like You! Defining Confidence
Being a major PUA may attract the ladies, but here’s a little known secret: It’s your confidence that will make the difference between closing and hearing the dreaded, “let’s just be friends.”
Ouch. So, how do you go about building confidence? Well, there are tons of things you can do. But, let’s just admit it right here – “confidence” sounds like something from a self-help book. It makes you feel like that old SNL character – “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like me!”
In short, it makes you sound like an AFC. Man, it makes me cringe just thinking about the word confidence. What am I, in a deodorant commercial? So, for lack of anything better, let’s call it mojo. Everybody wants a piece of that mojo, son.
Mojo is nothing less than crucial. If you don’t have it, there’s not a babe on earth who’s going to give you the time of day. Mojo makes you look better, stand taller, and take the risks necessary to bag the honeys.
One of the biggest rules of the game is, do not hesitate. That’s why we have the 3-second rule – to remind you to jump in and avoid bombing out because you stood around making up excuses. Yeah, that’s hot. She’s gonna totally want you after she’s just watch you try to convince yourself that you’re worth a moment of her time.

Mojo Rising – The Key To Building Confidence
So, you need the mojo. Mojo will get you from those first three seconds right on through to the close. Mojo is your friend. Mojo is your invisible wingman. Mojo can turn around almost any situation.
You know how you get the mojo? Practice. Oh sure, there’s plenty of other stuff you can do – from listening to your power-up song to learning martial arts – but practice makes perfect, and it’s not just your old piano teacher who thinks that.
The key to building confidence is to make it be second nature to you. The less you have to think about it, the better your game is going to be.
The good news is, the world is full of people – of both sexes – to practice on. Wait, am I telling you to spend your whole day in PUA mode? Nope. Am I saying you need to try and pick up guys? Not at all. In fact, to build confidence you want to forget all the stuff you’ve learned, and just concentrate on whoever you need to interact with at the moment.
Think about it: Throughout the course of your day, how many people do you come in contact with? Ten, twenty, more? From co-workers to customer service reps to cashiers at the supermarket, you meet and interact with people all day long.
And you don’t give them a second thought, do you? You joke with them, charm them, ask them for information or about their day or their plans for that night, and generally get along like gangbusters with a wide variety of people every single day of your life.
In short, you’re confident with these people. You’ve got nothing at stake here, and you don’t give a crap what they think about you. And yet somehow, they all walk away thinking you’re a pretty swell guy.
And you are. So why do you forget that the moment you have a HB in your sights?
That’s what the “practice” is all about – remembering that you’re good enough, you’re smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like you!
So, take notice of how you deal with these people. At the end of every day, think back and congratulate yourself for every person you charmed that day. Did the barista give you a free pastry? Did your sister’s kids tell you that you’re their favorite uncle? Did you make that crabby bank teller laugh? That’s your mojo at work.
Whether you call it getting your mojo, building confidence or improving your inner game, there should be absolutely no doubt about two things – you need it, and with practice you can tap into it any time you choose.
